bye bye michigan!

I'm just sitting here in my cold, dark hotel room... waiting for 4am so I can start gathering my things and head down to Delta check-in... Couldn't sleep one bit last night so I got out of bed around 2:30 and had a hot shower... It's so cold here in Michigan... so very, very cold! BUT within a matter of hours I'll be back to Antigua where already it's 59 outside... hmm... !!!

SO glad I was able to be home for so long and spend some time with all you people who I love so dearly... stay tuned for some latin american photo updates comin your way... so excited to head back! Also, so excited that the flu has passed from my brother's home and so I got to say goodbye to brother, sister, and this stinker...

My First Birthday!

Okay so I was thinking about my sick nephew, who's been throwing up all over the walls and in his bed apparently tonight :( and thought it'd be fun to post pics from his first fiesta!

This was just hilarious, mom spent hours hunting down the best gifts for birthday boy and here is what she found has some of the best reviews...

and Logan loved it!

He was so funny, everyone was circled around him and he was so dang fascinated with the lights on the front of his new Mickey mobile...

I must point out his little Jordan's he's sporting with this outfit too, lol.

And this I stole off from someone else but, I thought it was so cute...

and note the fantastic job my sister-in-law did on this dalmation cake :)

Logan didn't dig in quite like I was expecting, but mom and dad helped him to still make a pretty good mess of it.

Birthday #1 went pretty well I think...

lots of friends (babies)

lots of presents

lots of sharing

and...not too much crying! :)

I did manage to snag a stinkin cute nephew pic && also one with grandpa

(one of my most favorite people)

but about other things,

had some fun in the snow with ash recently...

got to visit SAU and spend time with my sweet friend Becca...

and my nephew turned 1 on Jan. 13!

...Him and I have been really enjoyed chipmunk and chipette music videos lately :)

a mail surprise

Thursday I got a slip in my mailbox that a little something was waiting for me,

Ale sent me a Christmas present!

all the way from Costa Rica these special things arrived...

and... i love them!

Friday me and Logan hung out.

The day was filled with wrestling,

clicking 'replay' on the Alvin & the Chipmunks Squeak-Along DVD,

and baby hands wrapped around my thighs :)

I guess I'm the new jungle gym activity in my brother's living room lol

And look at that hair!!

And this morning Logan discovered apples in the fridge that he just couldn't resist,

he's becoming such a big boy so quick!!

Tomorrow = 2011 (but now really 2012)'s last Christmas event...

Sunday mom and I went to see Puss in Boots 3D...

and what a frisky little cat he is!

but so cute.

...he kind of reminds me of my bandit cat Tig who steals things from my room in the night

but acts super innocent and baby-cute during the day... oh animals!

Also it stormed Sunday, so it was FREEZING when we walked out of the movies...

and these days, I don't handle cold so well :-/

Yesterday I got to catch up with this beautiful girl over coffee = lovely.

Then last night I almost had a meltdown because it's so dang cold in my room...
